  • Congratulating on the day of Eid

May Allah accept deeds from us and you. تَقَبَّلَ اللهُ مِنَّا وَ مِنْكَ. Taqabbala-llâhu minnâ wa mink. This is what some of the companions used to say to each other. Tamâmu-l-Minnah p. 354.

  • Allah is The Greatest, Allah is The Greatest, Allah is The Greatest, no deity deserves to be worshipped except Allah. Allah is The Greatest, Allah is The Greatest, and the praise is for Him. Allâhu akbar. Allâhu akbar. Allâhu akbar. Lâ ilâha illa-llâh. Allâhu akbar. Allâhu akbar. Wa lillâhi-l-hamd This is a saying of Ibn Abbâs. Al-‘Irwâ’ p. 125.

  • Saying Takbir on the Days of Eid

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to go out during the two feasts and raise his voice while pronouncing the tahlîl (saying 'Lâ ilâha illallâh') and the takbîr (saying 'Allahu akbar'); however, the following has been mentioned regarding his Companions (رضي الله عنهم): "Allah is The Greatest, Allah is The Greatest, and all praise is for Allah." Allâhu akbar. Allâhu akbar. Wa li-llâhi-l-hamd. This is a saying of Ibn Mas'ûd. Al-‘Irwâ’ p. 125.

  • Eid al-Fitr 1441

Eid al-Fitr 1441 ‏السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته ‏تقبل الله منا ومنكم The Official Announcement for Masjid Al-Ihsaan: The Istiqaamah Foundation – Masjid Al-Ihsaan has followed the practice of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad, May Allah Be Pleased with Him, the meaning of which is that if a reputable Muslim states that he has seen the New Moon, then accept that sighting.  Tonight, Friday May 22, 2020 we have confirmed sightings from Muslims in four countries that the New Moon has been sighted.  We personally know Muslims that have studied Islam with reputable scholars who accept these sightings, so we will not doubt the sighting of the New Moon.  Consequently, Masjid Al-Ihsaan has declared that Ramadan 1441 has ended on the 29th day which coincides with Friday May 22, 2020.  We will observe Eid on Saturday, May 23, 2020.  Due to the present threat of infection of COVID-19, Masjid Al-Ihsaan will not host Salatul Eid. «Fast when you see the crescent [of Ramadhaan]. If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha’baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent [of Shawwaal]. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days», [transmitted by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].
